Horseman representing a Taoist exorcist, as confirmed by the shape of his hat, who must have traveled on horseback. It is an offering made by the Huang Guo fan family to the temple monk for a better future for
him and his entire family (many names). The offering message on the back of the statue dates from 1888 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu, but the statue was made during the reign of the previous
emperor: Tongzhi (1862-1874).
