10000-15000 €

This is a bronze sculpture of the Hindu god Vishnu from South India, dating to the circa 17th century. The statue stands at 37 cm high without its stand.
The deity is depicted in a standing posture, likely in a graceful samabhanga (straight) or a slightly bent tribhanga pose. He holds his four attributes in his hands, which would typically include the chakra (discus), shankha (conch), gada (mace), and padma (lotus). His face is serene, with a gentle smile and downcast eyes. He is adorned with a tall crown (kirita-mukuta), necklaces, earrings, armlets, and a sacred thread (yajnopavita), reflecting his divine and royal status. His lower body is draped in a stylized dhoti (loincloth).
The sculpture has elegant proportions and rich, brown patina.
